The story is about two young adults from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) who have been close friends since childhood. The war forced them to leave their homeland and separated their paths. As teenagers, they now face the challenges of displacement and try to build a new life in new villages in Armenia.
Despite the separation, their friendship remains an important support in the midst of loss and uncertainty. The personal stories of young people from Artsakh show how they maintain hope and resilience despite difficult circumstances.
The directors of the film got to know each other and the protagonists in frames of the ‘Artworks for Peace’ art education project in war-affected villages in Artsakh, Armenia back in 2021. Now we are delighted to produce this collaborational film and be able to present it for several festivals.

The film ‘AYG’ was shot with a zero budget. We are developing the film further and sending it to several film festivals as we want to reach as many people as possible with this very important topic.
